Costco, Target, and Whole Foods receipts can run longer than a single phone frame. Capture the receipt in multiple shots, then stitch them into one continuous receipt before AI extraction — so every line item makes it in, no matter how long the paper.

GroceryTrack for iOS v1.7.0 — the Ask update

Your receipts already knew what you buy, where you shop, and what it costs — you just had no way to ask. Ask is a new tab that answers questions about your own shopping in plain language, read out of your own history. Receipts no longer have to be paper: add a PDF from Files, or share a PDF, an image, or a link to an online receipt from any app. Plus integrations that get your data out — a shopping list into Apple Reminders, your grocery day into Calendar, every receipt as a CSV — and a dark-mode pass over the whole app. Now live on the App Store.

• Ask — a new tab. "What do I buy most often?", "when was my last trip to Whole Foods?", "how much did I spend on groceries last month?" — answered from your own receipts, with the questions you can start from offered up front
• Digital receipts — Choose file on the Scan tab takes a PDF or an image, and the iOS share sheet accepts a PDF, an image, or a receipt link from Mail, Files, Messages, or Safari. The original stays one tap away in the receipt detail
• Duplicate check — when a new receipt matches the store, date, and total of one you already have, the app says so and lets you keep both or delete the extra
• Apple Reminders and Calendar integrations — push a shopping list into Reminders, or block out your grocery day as a repeating calendar event that defaults to the weekday you actually shop
• Export every receipt as a CSV (Pro) — one row per line item, the same columns the web export uses
• Connect an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client — with the connector name and server URL ready to copy
• AI model choice (Pro) — pick the model tier that reads your receipts and the one that answers Ask
• Guided first run — a camera primer before the permission dialog, an email-forwarding reminder if you skip the first scan, and a notifications opt-in for the weekly recap and monthly report
• Pantry no longer merges repurchases — two trips, two rows, each with its own freshness
• Dark mode fixed across the app: tinted cards, banners, badges and onboarding screens that stayed light now follow the theme, and the Grocery Year heatmap ramps dim-to-bright instead of backwards
• Email sign-up asks for your name; the Terms and Privacy notice now appears on the first auth screen, not only the email form
• Session replays are no longer recorded, matching the updated privacy policy
• The Nutrition tab has been removed — it was not being used, and Ask takes its place

GroceryTrack for iOS v1.6.0 — the post-scan review update

Scanning a receipt used to end in the same sheet you browse old ones with — everything equally editable, nothing prioritized, no ending. Now a scan ends with a two-step review: check the store, total, and every line, then see where that trip’s money actually went. Plus a Grocery Year heatmap, region settings that travel with you, and a note on every receipt saying how it arrived. Now live on the App Store.

• Post-scan review — a purpose-built two-step sheet replaces the old detail view: quick-check every line and its category, then read that trip’s category breakdown as a stacked bar, per receipt rather than period-wide
• Correct the store name, purchase date, and currency in the quick-check step — the three fields extraction most often gets wrong were previously only reachable later from History, so bad data settled in
• Choosing a currency also saves it as your preferred currency, which settles ambiguous symbols like a bare “$” on future scans
• Grocery Year heatmap on the dashboard (Pro) — twelve month blocks shaded by how much you shopped, tap a day to promote it into the header where your thumb won’t cover it
• Region settings — pick your currency and time zone, or let the zone follow your device as you travel; it reads as a city name, not an IANA code
• Receipt footers now say how each receipt arrived — scanned in the iOS app, captured with Grocery Snap, or forwarded by a named sender
• Fixes: post-scan corrections now reach the server, the receipt screen surfaces failed saves instead of swallowing them, and editing a receipt no longer overwrites its origin

GroceryTrack for iOS v1.5.0 — the smart pantry update

The pantry grows up: freshness estimates that know fridge from freezer, best-by dates you control, stock tracking down to the last slice, and a pantry window you choose. Plus guided onboarding for new users and faster item corrections. Now live on the App Store.

• Storage-aware freshness — shelf-life estimates depend on where you keep things, and moving an item (say, into the freezer on day two) recounts its life from that day
• Set your own best-by date on any item with quick picks from 1 week to 3 months — your date always wins over our estimate
• Track what’s left: count down multi-packs (“2 of 6 left”) or portion-track single items (Full · ½ · ¼), with running-low items feeding your shopping list
• Pantry window setting — choose how far back your pantry looks (1 week, 4 weeks, 3 months, or forever), with an on-screen filter chip for a quick peek at a different window
• Fix an item’s name or quantity right from the pantry, or jump to its full receipt in one tap
• Guided onboarding walks new users from their first scan to a working budget in minutes
• Original receipt photo viewer with pinch-to-zoom, plus dark-mode and receipt-date editing fixes

GroceryTrack for iOS v1.4.1 — smoother subscriptions

A small follow-up to v1.4.0: you can now subscribe to Pro at any point during your free trial instead of waiting for it to end, and billing records carry their source and plan so support can resolve subscription questions faster.

Android closed beta on Google Play
