  1. PlannedReceipts

Multiple receipt detection in a single photo

Snap several short receipts laid out side-by-side or stacked in one shot — Trader Joe’s, the bakery, the corner deli — and AI detects each receipt boundary, separates them, and creates one entry per receipt with its own store, date, and items.

    • Auto-detect multiple receipt boundaries within a single photo
    • Per-receipt extraction with distinct store, date, totals, and line items
    • Preview screen to confirm or merge segments before saving
    • Saves each detection as its own receipt in your history — no manual splitting
  2. PlannediOS

    Long receipt scanning on iOS

Costco, Target, and Whole Foods receipts can run longer than a single phone frame. Capture the receipt in multiple shots, then stitch them into one continuous receipt before AI extraction — so every line item makes it in, no matter how long the paper.

    • Multi-shot capture flow: scan top, middle, and bottom segments without losing your place
    • Live thumbnail strip lets you reorder, retake, or remove a segment before submitting
    • On-device segment combination so the AI sees one continuous receipt — no duplicate or dropped lines
    • Saved as a single receipt in your history with combined totals and item count

  3. PlannedAndroid

Android v1.0 — public launch on Google Play

Graduate GroceryTrack for Android from closed testing to an open Google Play release once we hit our beta-feedback bar. No separate sign-up — install from the Play Store like any other app.

  4. PlannedHouseholds

    Shared households

Track groceries together with partners or roommates. Shared pantries, combined spending views, and per-member insights so everyone stays on the same page.

  5. PlannedBudgeting

    Smart budget alerts

Opt-in push notifications when you cross a category threshold, spike versus your rolling average, or blow past your monthly target.

  6. PlannedReceipts

    Bill split for restaurant receipts

Scan a restaurant receipt and split the total evenly across the people paying so your spend tracking reflects only your share — not the whole table.

    • Toggle "Split evenly" on any restaurant receipt and pick the number of payers (2–10)
    • Your dashboard, category totals, and monthly trends use your per-person share, not the full bill
    • Original receipt total is preserved for reference; split metadata travels with the receipt across web and MCP
  7. ShippedAndroid

Android closed beta on Google Play

GroceryTrack for Android is now in closed testing on Google Play. Use the public join link to opt in, install the beta from the Play Store, and help shape the launch — same native receipt scanning, offline support, and push notifications you get on iOS, free for testers.

    • Public join link — testers can opt in from any browser, no email allowlist required
    • Native Android camera capture with auto-focus, flash, and a receipt boundary guide
    • Offline scanning with automatic background sync when reconnected
    • Material UI components with full system dark mode support
    • Single account syncs receipts across web, iOS, and Android (Google sign-in, Apple ID, or username/password)
    • In-app delete account flow that meets the new Google Play data-deletion requirement

The native iOS app is here. Scan grocery receipts with your iPhone or iPad camera, track spending offline, get push budget alerts, and stay perfectly in sync with the web app — now available on the App Store.

    • Native camera capture with auto-focus, flash, and a receipt boundary guide
    • Offline receipt scanning with automatic background sync when reconnected
    • Weekly and monthly push notifications for budget pace and summaries
    • Home-screen widget for month-to-date spending at a glance

  9. ShippedRewards

Referral program — give a month, get a month

Invite a friend and you both get 1 month of Pro — free. Every signup credits both sides automatically, with a 24-hour manual-code window for friends who signed up first. No cap on how many months you can stack.

    • Personal referral link with share-sheet support for iMessage, WhatsApp, and email, plus a multi-paragraph invite preview
    • Smart reward delivery: active Pro subscribers get their next billing pushed out 30 days; lapsed customers get a $3.99 Stripe balance credit; new users get 30 days added to their trial
    • Referral dashboard at /referrals with month-bucketed chart, full history, and a 24-hour manual redemption window
    • Email verification required on both sides — pending invites show up in history as soon as your friend signs up, then flip to "+1 month" once they verify
    • Idempotent Stripe writes and Firestore batches so retries never double-credit

  10. ShippedNotes

    Grocery trip notes

Jot down quality calls, price comparisons, and packaging quirks on any receipt, then let them surface the next time you shop that store — or ask your AI to summarize what you’ve learned.

    • Add free-form notes to any receipt from the detail view; saved notes show as an amber callout above the items
    • Store detail pages (/store/[slug]) surface your personal trip notes with your avatar, linked back to each receipt
    • One-click AI summarize to distill multiple trips into 3–5 takeaways about quality, price, and recurring patterns
    • Exposed via MCP: new list_trip_notes tool, notes field on get_receipt, and a hasNotes flag on list_receipts
  11. ShippedReliability

    Production observability upgrade

End-to-end Sentry tracing across the app and MCP server, plus cron monitoring for weekly and monthly email summaries so silent failures never go unnoticed.

    • Sentry user-action tracking for faster debugging
    • Cron monitors on weekly and monthly email digests
    • Git-hash build IDs for version-skew protection
  12. ShippedIntegrations

MCP server — bring your groceries to any AI

GroceryTrack now speaks MCP. Connect your data to Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible client via OAuth 2.1, then ask questions like "what did I buy last week?" right from your assistant.

    • OAuth 2.1 authorization flow
    • Dedicated MCP landing page with setup instructions
    • In-app promo to surface the integration to power users

  18. ShippedRelease

    First version goes live

The initial rollout of GroceryTrack — AI-powered receipt scanning, category breakdowns, and a working dashboard. Rough around the edges, but end-to-end.

  19. ShippedMilestone

    GroceryTrack is born

The idea was born and bootstrapped on this day — one engineer, one repo, and a stack of unread grocery receipts. Everything since has been built from here.
