Terms of Service

1. Your Relationship with GroceryTrack
1.1 Your use of GroceryTrack's products, software, services, and websites (referred to collectively as the "Services") is subject to the terms of a legal agreement between you and Slash Dev Slash Null LLC ("Company"), operating as GroceryTrack. This document explains how the agreement is made up and sets out some of the terms of that agreement.
1.2 These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you and the Company in relation to your use of the Services. It is important that you take the time to read them carefully. This legal agreement is referred to below as the "Terms".
2. Accepting the Terms
2.1 In order to use the Services, you must first agree to the Terms. You may not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms.
2.2 You can accept the Terms by:
(A) clicking to accept or agree to the Terms, where this option is made available to you in the user interface for any Service; or
(B) by actually using the Services. In this case, you understand and agree that GroceryTrack will treat your use of the Services as acceptance of the Terms from that point onwards.
2.3 You may not use the Services and may not accept the Terms if (a) you are not of legal age to form a binding contract, or (b) you are a person barred from receiving the Services under the laws of the United States or other countries including the country in which you are resident or from which you use the Services.
3. Description of the Services
3.1 GroceryTrack is a web and mobile application that allows users to photograph grocery receipts and uses AI to extract items, prices, and categories for personal spending tracking and analytics.
3.2 The Services include, but are not limited to: receipt image upload and AI-powered extraction (including item names, prices, categories, quantities, unit prices, weights, and organic/perishable classification), spending dashboards and analytics, budget tracking, receipt history management, and data export.
3.3 The Services use third-party tools for error monitoring and performance tracking (currently Sentry) to help us identify and fix issues. These tools may collect technical data such as error details, browser information, and user actions leading up to an error. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Provision of the Services
4.1 GroceryTrack is constantly innovating in order to provide the best possible experience for its users. You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the Services may change from time to time without prior notice to you.
4.2 As part of this continuing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that GroceryTrack may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing the Services (or any features within the Services) to you or to users generally at GroceryTrack's sole discretion, without prior notice to you. You may stop using the Services at any time.
4.3 You acknowledge and agree that if GroceryTrack disables access to your account, you may be prevented from accessing the Services, your account details, or any files or other content which is contained in your account.
5. User Accounts
5.1 You must sign in with a Google account to use the Services. You agree that any information provided through your Google account will always be accurate, correct, and up to date.
5.2 You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5.3 You agree to immediately notify GroceryTrack of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
6. Use of the Services
6.1 You agree to use the Services only for purposes that are permitted by (a) the Terms and (b) any applicable law, regulation, or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions.
6.2 You agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services by any means other than through the interface that is provided by GroceryTrack, unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a separate agreement.
6.3 You agree that you will not knowingly engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Services (or the servers and networks which are connected to the Services).
6.4 You agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, attempt to create a substitute or similar service through use of or access to, sell, trade, or resell the Services for any purpose.
6.5 You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that GroceryTrack has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) any breach of your obligations under the Terms and for the consequences of any such breach.
7. Your Content
7.1 You retain ownership of all receipt images, data, and other content you upload to the Services ("Your Content").
7.2 By uploading Your Content, you grant GroceryTrack a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use Your Content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Services. This includes processing receipt images through AI services for data extraction and generating item images.
7.3 You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any applicable laws or the rights of any third party.
7.4 GroceryTrack may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from Your Content for analytics, service improvement, and research purposes.
8. AI Processing
8.1 Receipt data is processed using Google Gemini AI for text extraction, item categorization, quantity and weight detection, organic and perishable classification, and image generation. Your receipt images are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. Google's API terms of service apply to this processing.
8.2 While we strive for accuracy, AI-extracted data may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted information. GroceryTrack is not liable for any decisions made based on AI-extracted data.
9. Billing and Payment
9.1 New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with access to all Pro features. No credit card is required during the trial period. After the trial expires, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan with limited features unless you subscribe to a paid plan.
9.2 If you select a paid Services level, you may choose to subscribe and pay for the Services on either a monthly or annual basis. GroceryTrack reserves the right to modify pricing at any time, provided however that GroceryTrack will notify you by email prior to any price increase affecting your account.
9.3 All payments are securely processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. GroceryTrack does not directly collect, store, or process your credit card numbers or payment card details. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe using industry-standard encryption.
9.4 At the end of each subscription period, the Services will automatically renew for an additional period unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
9.5 Refund requests may be submitted to support@grocerytrack.app within 14 days of a charge. Refunds are issued at the sole discretion of Slash Dev Slash Null LLC.
9.6 You are responsible for any taxes, duties, and fees associated with the sale of the Services (other than GroceryTrack's income tax).
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10.2 In no event shall GroceryTrack be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the Services; (b) any inaccurate data extraction or processing; (c) unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or (d) any other matter relating to the Services.
10.3 GroceryTrack's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to GroceryTrack for the Services during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GroceryTrack and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) Your Content.
12. Termination
12.1 GroceryTrack reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice.
12.2 You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support.
12.3 Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
13. Changes to the Terms
13.1 GroceryTrack may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a prominent notice on the Services at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
13.2 Continued use of the Services after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
14. General Legal Terms
14.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and GroceryTrack with respect to the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
14.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14.3 The failure of GroceryTrack to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
